Have a question about cabinets and countertops? We have the answer at Elegant Touch Stonework Inc. Check out these FAQs and call or text us for more information!

  • How do I get an estimate?

To get your free, in-home estimate, just give us a call or text. You can also fill out our easy online form and a representative from Elegant Touch Stonework will contact you soon.

  • What types of countertops do you provide?

At Elegant Touch Stonework, we carry a range of high-quality countertop materials including granite, marble, quartz, and porcelain. We work with the best suppliers and offer in-house fabrication.

  • How long will my project take?

We know that speed matters. Most of our projects are completed with a two-week turnaround time from the creation of templates to the final installation.

  • How much does an average kitchen cost?

The size of an average kitchen cannot be defined. Various factors contribute to determining the cost of cabinets and countertops, such as the design, brand of cabinets, countertops, and additional cabinet features.

  • Are the cabinets all wood?

The plywood boxes have a thickness of 1/2", while the shelves are made of 3/4" plywood. The face frames, doors, and drawer fronts may vary in material, being either wood or MDF, depending on the manufacturer.

  • Do the cabinets come with soft close hinges and glides?

Yes. If any manufacturers don't have standard soft close hinges or glides, we can always upgrade them to soft close.

  • Where are your cabinets made?

The majority of our manufacturers are produced in the United States.

  • Do you have to do the installation of our cabinets or can someone else install them?

The installation of the cabinets is optional. If we handle the installation, there won't be any sales tax. However, if someone else handles the installation, we will need to charge sales tax, which in certain situations may end up being more expensive than letting us handle the installation.

  • Which is better for cabinets? Stain or Painted?

Your choice will depend on your preference and the environment. Cabinets made of wood, like any other wooden items, will expand and contract. Painted cabinets will display seams more prominently than stained wood cabinets.

  • Can we just replace my doors and drawers?

There are a few factors to consider, such as the age of the cabinets and whether we can find matching sizes. It's essential to take accurate measurements before making any decisions. However, simply replacing doors and drawers may turn out to be more expensive than replacing the entire cabinet.

  • Do we reface cabinets?

No, but we do have a few companies we refer out to.

  • How long does it take to get cabinets in?

This will also depend on manufacture, they can come in as little as 2 weeks but take as long as 16 weeks.

  • How long does a project with cabinets and countertops take?

If we are replacing only cabinets and countertops, and no other trades are involved, once cabinets have been delivered, from start to finish of the countertops - the timeframe is 2-4 weeks.

  • What is the square foot cost of the countertop material?

We do not price by square foot, we price by the job size and material picked/needed to complete your job.

  • For countertops, what is the lead time and when can you install them?

From the time of template to installation is 2 weeks. We can usually get you templated within 2 business days.

  • What is better? Quartz or natural stone?

We don't think one is better than the other. It is the look you're going for. If you like the movement and natural look, natural stone is more your speed. If you want that white, subtle, less movement, quartz will probably

be a better fit for you.

  • Does your price include everything?

Yes, the price you receive will be an out-the-door price. The only reason your price will change (up or down) is if your measurements change.

  • How long are your estimates good for?

    30 days.

  • What is the best way to clean my new countertops?

Dish soap and warm water. You do not want to use anything acidic or harsh on your countertops. It can and will remove the sealer that we place and the finish off your countertops. Cleaners can also etch your countertops.

  • Can I cut on my counters?

No, we do not recommend you cut on your counters. This is why we give you a complimentary cutting board.

  • Can we place hot pots and pans on our counters?

If you place a hot pot or pan on quartz, you will most likely get a burn mark that can not be repaired. Natural stone does have a high heat

tolerance but can cause fissures and spider cracks if you place hot pots and pans on your natural stone countertops. Countertops tend to be cold, placing heat on anything cold can cause them to expand quickly.
